Electronic data posting
AFIDS has features for posting certain data electronically from one AFIDS system to another. For example, member applications and mission requests.
In order to send mission requests to another AFIDS user, you need to have the permission of the receiver.
For example, you are organization A, and you wish to post mission requests to organization B.
Contact organization B and ask them to create a person for you in their system, with a username and password. They should then provide this username and password to you.
Update the Linking Organization record for them in your system. Fill in the following fields in the Linking Organization record for organization B:
- Afids Server Url:
- Afids Requester username:
- Afids Requester password:
You should then be able to post to their system.
If you wish to have other organizations post to your system, create a person for them with a username and password. You should also make this person a requester. Provide this username and password to the other organization so that they can update their AFIDS system.
Organizations that are not properly set up as receivers will not appear as options in the post functions.
