Dashboard

There are four potential dashboards a user may see depending on the role assigned.

Assigning a role for the dashboard

To make a particular dashboard visible for a particular user, edit his or her role.

Find the person and view their record. In the person view, you will see the role management area. (Note that you must be have the staff or admin role in order to manage other people's roles.)

The roles which begin with the hashsign or pound (#) correspond to the dashboards described below. Do not assign more than one dashboard role to a person.

Executive Director

Dashboard ed.png

The executive director dashboard shows:

  • Requested. Percent change in total number of flight requests for the period from the first of the current year to today compared with the same period last year. For example, if today is May 9, 2014, the figure is the percent change from 1/1/2014 to 5/4/2014, as compared against 1/1/2013 to 5/4/2013. Only counts missions with a mission type that is included in the statistical count. For example, some organizations do not count admin or service missions in their statistical count.
  • Flown. Percent change in total number of flights flown for the period from the first of the current year to today compared with the same period last year. To keep the information timely, the YTD figure counts all non-canceled missions, not only those with approved mission reports. Since there may be a delay in collecting and approving the mission report, this provides more timely information, but may be subject to some fluctuation in the case of last-minute cancellations. Only counts missions with a mission type that is included in the statistical count. For example, some organizations do not count admin or service missions in their statistical count.
  • Members. Percent change in total active members in the last period captured in the permanent statistics compared with the same period last year. Permanent member stats are captured at the end of the month. So, if today's date is May 9, 2014, the member numbers were last captured at the end of April. So the figure will compare the number of active members at the end of April, 2014 with the number of active members at the end of April, 2013.
  • Oriented. Percent of all pilots who have command pilot status as of today.
  • Days to orientation. Average number of days from the member's join date to the date he or she was oriented.

  • Passenger. Percent change in cancellations by the passenger for the period from the beginning of this year to today, compared with the same period last year.
  • No Pilot. Percent change in cancellations for no pilot ("No Pilot" or "No Pilot Other Leg") for the period from the beginning of this year to today, compared with the same period last year.

Fund Development

Dashboard fund.png

The Fund Development dashboard shows:

Passengers. Percent change in unique passengers served in the period from the first of this year to today compared with the same period last year.

Requests. Flight Requests (see above)

Pilot in-kind. Percent change in in-kind donations by pilots in the period from the first of this year to today compared with the same period last year. Calculated based on the cost rate of the aircraft times the hobbs time provided by the pilot in his or her mission report, or the cost of a ticket purchased by a pilot. Since a mission report is required, there may be a lag in the timeliness of the report. Since the mission report does not need to be approved in order to be counted, there may be some variation if mission reports are corrected prior to approval. Only applies to pilot flown missions or missions for which a commercial ticket was purchased by the pilot.

Airline in-kind. Percent change in in-kind donations by pilots in the period from the first of this year to today compared with the same period last year. Calculated based on the ticket cost. Only applies to commercial mission legs.
